According to legend, flood covered the lands in a remote Asian village. A crane flying with no place to rest and ready to collapse spotted a turtle surfacing from the water. Offering the crane a place to rest until the flood waters receded, the turtle saved his life. Years later, during a severe drought, the crane returned the favor by flying the turtle to the nearest water.
Our Cooperation Garden Lantern & Sculpture represents friendship and cooperation. One of many fine garden sculptures sure to lend grace to your home.
Had my eye on this for a while because of the story behind it. Purchased it with a couple of friends for a good friend’s birthday. I copied the story so she would know this was a token of our friendship. She loved it. I just wish a printed copy of the story came with the purchase.
Thank you for the suggestion, we will ask our team to include the Legend of Crane & Turtle as an insert with future packages.
My turtle and crane sculpture arrived yesterday afternoon in excellent condition. They are now in their new home in the courtyard meditation garden near the waterfall. They seem very happy there and I love them. I’m so very happy with my ordering/delivery experience.
Love it!
Great quality - like the option of lantern or rain catcher - I had an issue with placing order (refuse to believe I need readers!) and Customer Service was prompt and professional in assisting me. Very pleased with this purchase!
Beautiful and unique.
I love my cranes, but the bird cages were damaged. Viridian sent me two replacements, one that was more damaged than the first. one I received.
Thank you for reaching out to customer service with photos of the lantern base and letting us know about the hand casting imperfections. We have spoken with our foundry to recast the mold to refine the shape for an improved lantern. We appreciate your interest in the piece and thank you for your valuable feedback.
What a way to add cheerfulness!
This lantern is beautiful and great quality. It enhances my front yard. I love the height too!
I love the turtle and crane lantern so much. I also have the smaller version that I also love. We have a small candle in the cage for nighttime and it’s just lovely
The Garden Lantern EXCEEDED my expectations. I love the origami cranes and story behind the design. As I am Japanese and wanted a "theme" but not too Asian, the option for the cranes was PERFECT. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Thank-you!
Looks great
This truly met all of my expectations. We live on Turtle Cove which is on a creek, so yes we have turtle's in our back yard who also sun themselves on the logs in the creek, but we also have grey herons too.
The heron is actually grey and not bronze like the turtle. I am using the lantern with a candle with a timer. ❤️❤️❤️
