We were looking to install the perfect bird-indulgence area outside our kitchen window. Our daughter gifted us a lovely bird feeder for Christmas after we had spent months looking for the right birdbath. Nearly every bath we saw was too flimsy, poorly made or incredibly dull looking. When we saw this particular one, it had everything we wanted. Visible from the front yard and the sidewalk to the front door, the design and detail make it truly unique. Cast in aluminum, it will keep its great-looking finish for years. One of the BEST parts, though, is the design of the water bowl itself. I read quite a few articles written by ornithologists explaining the best design for a birdbath. And this one has the ideal depth and slope for the smaller songbirds we have in our frontyard (as well as some of the bigger birds, and those darn squirrels, too). It's shallow enough along the edges that even the smallest sparrow can drink without fear. This bath is easy to clean , easy to fill, and easy to level. It's simply fantastic.
