Ming Kintsugi Take Out Vase Small
Hand cast aluminum, zinc finish with accents, hinged top. 4.5"H 5"W 5"D. The Japanese art of Kintsugi translates to ‘golden joinery’ and stems from the late 15th century. Craftsmen needed a way to repair fractured pottery that was also pleasing to the eye. By mixing lacquer with powdered gold they joined the broken shards. This artform was the inspiration of our Kintsugi Take Out Vases.
